Hornady's classic 160 grain round nose is their long time take on the European tour de force that has taken moose and other European large game since the late 1800's. Common in the 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser, its ability to penetrate is out of this world with a sectional density of .328. Ya, that's right, .328!
Sectional density is that factor in a projectiles which determines penetration. If your buddy has a 45 caliber carbine that he calls his "brush gun", understand that your 160 grain round nose will penetrate brush far better than anything he's willing to launch from his big bore.
Remember, 8" twist required.
Finally, the construction is everything a hunter needs for great expansion combined with deep penetration. The interlock allows the nose to mushroom and the rear to keep driving forward.
For a hunting bullet, it doesn't get any better than this.
