Hornady .17 WSM 20 Grain V-MAX-50 Count
From prairie dogs and ground squirrels to coyotes and foxes, the Hornady .17 Winchester Super Mag is a fantastic option for varmint hunters everywhere. Filling the gap between the .17 HMR and the centerfire .17 Hornet, the 17 Winchester Super Mag fires a 20 grain V-MAX bullet at 3,000 fps. The polymer tip of the V-MAX bullet delivers more than tack-driving accuracy at long range and also creates dramatic expansion on impact. Retaining over 2,000 fps of velocity at 200 yards, the .17 Winchester Super Mag provides plenty of velocity for the hard-hitting V-MAX bullet to perform on varmints at extended range.|.56|4.63|2.5|2|Hornady .17 WSM 20 GR V-MAX|.17 Win Super Mag fires a 20 grain V-MAX bullet at 3,000 fps|Polymer tip of the V-MAX bullet delivers more than tack-driving accuracy at long range and creates dramatic expansion on impact|Provides plenty of velocity for the hard-hitting V-MAX bullet to perform on varmints at extended range|50 rounds per box|||T|Warning: Discharging firearms in poorly ventilated areas, cleaning firearms, or handling ammunition may result in exposure to lead and other substances known to cause birth defects, reproductive harm, and other serious physical injury. The Below Information Has Been Provided From Our Gun Caliber Dictionary And Is Meant For Informational Purposes Only. It Is Not Intended to Describe The Unique Specifications For This Ammunition.
The 17 Winchester Super Magnum is the fastest rimfire cartridge--ever! Introduced by Winchester in 2013, it isn't based on any previous sporting cartridge. Instead, it's based on a .27-caliber rimfire blank used for driving nails! Thicker case walls enable it to withstand higher pressures, and it pushes a 20-grain bullet at 3000 feet per second and a 25-grain bullet at 2600 fps. In terms of capability it falls almost exactly between the rimfire 17 HMR and the centerfire 17 Hornet, obviously an extremely viable 200-yard cartridge for smaller varmints. The rimfire case is not reloadable, so it offers a viable and economic mid-range alternative for varmint shooters who don't handload. Initially a joint venture between Winchester and Savage, 17 Winchester Super Magnum rifle offerings now include Ruger, Browning/Winchester, and others. —
